AZ Blockfest 2009.....(sorry this is a long one)

It has been 5 months since I have been in a room full of women and had one single thing in common with all of them. Saturday night was one of those times. March 7th, 2009 was AZ Blockfest!
Our friend Alisha was gracious enough to host the party at her house. We did it as a potluck and let me tell you there was a lot of great food!! We had the guys singing in the background while we mingled and had drinks! Alisha made great name tags that had a pic of our guy of choice so we knew who everyone was by the end of the night. Before everyone got there, there was a handful of us that took pics outside with the HUGE tumbleweeds Alisha's hubby picked up for us!! They were great but man those stickers are a Biotch! (hee hee)
The background you see in our group pics was made by third grade students...they did a great job!!

Right about now JON made an appearance at our party!!!! (a blow up doll with a mask of Jon's face) He got alot of action....mmmmm......I mean attention!!! hee hee

Wen the eating was done we moved onto the trivia game! There was twenty questions and a few tie breaker questions which we did have to use to determine who came in second place. The first and second place winners were given tote bags with a pic of the guys on one side and on the other side it said AZ Blockfest 2009. (these were made by yours truly!!! ) Hopefully, someone will post a pic of the bags for you to see. The trivia game was a success and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Next, was the group pic!!! We had about 30 of us there and luckily Tina's hubby came so he was able to take our pics with the gazillion cameras we had!!! Thanks to Tina's hubby!! We took some with the awesome letter signs Lisa made that spelled out AZ BLOCKFEST 2009 and 5 hearts with each guy's name. They were great!! We took some pics with just the signs a few of us made.

We watched the guys performance on the JImmy Kimmel show as some of the ladies had not seen it and really they looked hot so, even if you had seen it you would watch it again!! Then the performance at the AMA's!!! I think the rewind button got a great workout on that one........seemed to be pause alot right around, "first time was a great time" .....in the right stuff......hmmmmm wonder why? :)
Then came Hangin Tough Live!! There was a lot of singing and dancing along! Durning all this in the kitchen the New Kids on the Block board game was being played and the NKOTB fashion plates were getting a workout! Talk about taking you back...way back!!!

As the night starting winding down Deege starting passing out little gifts (we had already received the personalized shot glasses from Alisha) the gifts were packs of NKOTB trading cards!! I was so excited!! It has been a long time since I have seen those!! Let the trading begin!!!

I have to say I had a amazing time and I met alot of incredible people. I look forward to having them in my life for a long time and seeing them at the next party. Thank you to all of you.......
